Founded in 1998, Pegasus is dedicated to creating niche magazines and to building relationships between readers and advertisers. We combine profitability with integrity, and we care about our employees, our readers and the businesses we serve.
Our roster is currently comprised of Canada’s Local Gardener and Manitoba Lifestyles 55. Over 25 years in business, our consumer publications have included: Smart Connections, The Hub, and Manitoba, Ontario and Alberta Gardener magazines, as well as several B2B publications.
Meet the team
CEO and Founder
Dorothy Dobbie
Dorothy writes for the magazines, edits Manitoba Lifestyles 55 and sits on various boards and committees. She wanted to create something of value for the community after a stint as an MP, so she began Manitoba Gardener, the first completely paid-circulation magazine for the province.
Publisher
Shauna Dobbie
Shauna manages the publications, including writing for Canada’s Local Gardener, Manitoba Lifestyles 55 and the 10 Neat Things newsletter. She has been with the company, on and off, since 2000. She was the founding publisher of Ontario Gardener.
Sales Director
Gordon Gage
Gord has a background in business development in a number of industry sectors, including internet marketing and online reputation, fine arts and environmental stewardship.
Art Director
Karl Thompsen
Karl has over 25 years of experience in the Winnipeg publishing industry since graduating from the University of Manitoba's School of Art.
Digital Media Manager
Caroline Fu
Caroline(Chunmei) has over 20 years of experience in media, marketing, and sales, with a proven track record of successfully expanding businesses.
