The 13th Annual 55+ Housing and Active Lifestyles Expo will be held on Friday, May 29, at the Victoria Inn Hotel from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This event is free for all to attend.
Last year the Expo had over 100 exhibitors that represented a wide range of products and services of particular interest to older Manitobans. Once again this year, information, products and initiatives regarding housing, health and wellness, nutrition, estate planning, and transportation will be available.
The event’s popular inter-generational fashion show is returning this year, with models of all ages working the runway. The Expo will also offer a silent auction with a variety of exciting prizes available. The focus of the 13th Annual 55+ Housing and Active Lifestyles Expo is to empower older adults and those that care about them with valuable information and resources to support aging well.
A & O: Support Services for Older Adults offers several initiatives to address social isolation, from volunteer home-visiting services to the organization’s Senior Centre Without Walls (SCWW), and the This Full House program which addresses Hoarding Disorder. Many of these programs are the first of their kind in Canada!
